Kaiteriteri

Day 1: The 4 of us headed back to the ferry terminal late morning to catch the bus to Kaiteriteri. Our new driver was a guy called Buzz and also on the bus were Sam, Ginge and Josh - the welsh lads who had stayed a bit longer on the north island. It was good to see them again and was looking forward to travelling the south island with them, given we would likely be sticking together from now on. Buzz seemed quite cool although the lads told us he could be a bit moody sometimes.

We arrived into Kaiteriteri that afternoon and we didn't do a lot except play cards and have a few Beers for the rest of the day. I didn't really fancy the Kayaking, which was the activity of the day.

Day 2: The bus wasn't leaving for Westport until the afternoon so we got some mini-golf going again at a small course next to the hostel. About 10 of us playing at once so it took a while but we had a good laugh regardless. Next stop - Westport.
